iMSL – intelligent Material Systems Lab is researching mechatronic and sensor systems with so-called ‘smart materials’. Based on shape memory alloys (SMA) and electroactive polymers,IMSL is developing the drives and cooling systems of tomorrow, which are energy-efficient, sustainable and climate-friendly and therefore make a positive contribution to society. They develop holistic system solutions covering all areas from basic research to application.
